Discord has forced everyone to change their username and we need everyone to update this information.

Everyone needs to update the form using their new discord tags

Company verification system

Currently the process that a company goes through to post a job on Jobsboard:

1. Create an account

2. Wait for Careers to verify the account

3. Post a job

4. Wait for Careers to approve the job

This results in a bottleneck if Careers are not actively monitoring Jobsboard and we end up having no jobs listed.

We’ve come up with two plans to resolve this problem

1. Verification code: companies that wish to make an account must ask Careers for a code. The signup page will require companies to input that code in order to successfully create an account

2. Careers sends Josboard a list of verified emails at the beginning of the year. When companies sign up, they will automatically be verified if the email they used in on the that list.

What could be some alternative ways?

Discuss and decide which system is suitable.

Project Taster Night

Event where each project will have their own stall that students can come to and try the app. This is an interactive event in the sense that the format is a “CTF” where students can complete small challenges that involve using our app to win prizes. For example, a challenge could be to use Freerooms to find a room on campus and collect something from that room.

For each challenge, we require the following information:

• name of the challenge

• description of the challenge

• the “flag” (of the format level{...} where ... inside the braces can be any arbitrary string.

Challenge 1 (Can you find this job?)

• Find a job with the following requirements

  • Internship

  • Based in Sydney

  • No Working Rights requirements

• Which programming language does the job posting require the candidate to know?

Challenge 2 (Is this Jobsboard or Canva?)

• Determine how many people from Jobsboard is working at Canva

• They will have to inspect element on the Canva logo on the carousel to find this number

Challenge 3 (Special Login Privileges)

• Log in to the Jobsboard website using a specific username/password combination

• A text will appear above/below the input text fields with the flag

Challenge 4 (Come Join Us!!)

• Locate information regarding how to join the Jobsboard team

• What database would you be working with on the Jobsboard team?

Challenge 5 (Seeing in Dark Mode)

• Activating dark mode will reveal the flag

• The flag will be some text that’s super small and appears at the very bottom of the page in bright white
