Future Ideas for 2023
Frontend
Planner profiles - allow users to have different term planners available for different degrees (i.e. single vs double degree progression). Requires dashboard page? May require backend support?
Wam Integration/tracker - Allow support for calculation for WAM (term wam and total wam up to each term)
Had some designs for WAM integration in a separate page https://www.figma.com/file/kNAqFpWjTXyAYnevjtYoLW/Circles-2022?node-id=202%3A2. However, should WAM integration be in the Term Planner? There were some discussion whether against having a wam tracker in its own page because we are maintaining a lot of pages already. But this would be up to the 2023 Project directors decisions.
Some notes and ideas: Ideas for WAM Tracker
CSElectives review support - Idea to show reviews for courses in the course selector. However, would require to use the cs/uni electives backend API?
Backend
Backend state migration
some docs on what needs to be done
program requirements feature
????
large integrations with other projects
external motivations
honours soon:tm:?
expand degree offerings → currently blocked behind me → which degrees are close to passing?
maybe use this to satiate appetite of our users until social stuff?
example degree plans?
What are you supposed to be taking? → autoplanning but force it?
add core courses automatically?
sharing degree plans
more ways of exporting data → images, csv, excel sheet
importing data → Someone else’s degree plan
social timetabling degree-tabling
might be the major feature next year?
let people publish their degree plans
let people import these
create a degree-plan browser
see trendy degree plans
adding courses search in term planner
filters?
multiple profiles? → this can be done by making new accounts or by importing-exporting but that is annoying. (lower prio)
notes??
army of first year manual fixers :')
